Your payments follow European rules – data protection, laws & technology. Your personal data stays here (with your bank), with no detours through foreign payment providers. This strengthens Europe’s independence and creates value for everyone: users, merchants & the economy.

Bluecode was founded in 2017 and is based in Austria and Switzerland. We work with many European partner banks, merchants and networks – both in and outside of Europe. Our mission: to make “European” payments possible worldwide.

At all Bluecode acceptance partners – for example, supermarkets and shops that offer Bluecode as a payment option. Plus, through our cooperation with Alipay+, you can also use Bluecode across this large network – in Europe and Asia.

Yes, it remains fully “European” – because Bluecode defines the rules! We use the Alipay+ network to expand the places where you can pay with Bluecode. But your payment data always stays under European control.

If you take a closer look at your “local” bank card, you’ll probably see the logo of one of the major US payment networks. This means that every payment or cash withdrawal you make with that card goes through US rules and systems – even if your bank is European.
