With "Payment Roaming", Bluecode has created an innovative solution to enable payments via partner networks such as Alipay+. Every transaction remains a secure, European Bluecode payment, even if it is made at a merchant in the Alipay+ network, for example. This is how we combine European standards with global reach.
With the Bluecode app, you have two payment options:
1. Scan yourself:
- Open the Bluecode app
- Tap the camera icon
- Scan the merchant’s QR code
- Confirm the payment / enter amount
- Done!
2. Let the merchant scan your code:
- Open the Bluecode app
- Show your QR code and barcode
- The merchant scans your code
- Done!
Bluecode does not charge you any additional fees for international payments. However, it is possible that your bank may charge fees for payments in Asia. Please contact your bank directly for more information.
Thanks to our roaming partner Alipay+, we can offer you attractive exchange rates. You can see the current exchange rate directly in the app before you pay.

You can use the Bluecode app to pay either at Bluecode acceptance points or at acceptance points of our roaming partners (e.g. Alipay+). In the app, we always show you the logos you need to look for at merchants - depending on the country you are currently in.
